Ava Newman
Summer Student
Ava is currently a student at the University of Calgary. She is entering into her second year of her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, with plans to pursue a career in medicine/sports medicine.
It’s Ava’s first summer with the SCRUBS team where she has been mainly focused on a new study examining the biometrics of orthopedic surgeons throughout the day as they work in different occupational settings. When she is not working on PULSE, she assists and supports the team's day-to-day tasks associated with the other current research projects.

In her free time, you’ll most likely find Ava crafting of some sorts, spending time with her friends, or outside enjoying the sunshine.
