Sophie Aspinall
Summer Student
Sophie Aspinall is an undergraduate student at Queen’s University, entering her third year in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program. She is passionate about pursuing a future in medicine, with particular interests in orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, and the broader medical field.

This is Sophie’s first summer with the SCRUBS program, where she has been actively involved in exploring ongoing and potential research initiatives. Under the supervision of Dr. Marcia Clark, she is also contributing to the development of new study models that align with her academic and career interests.
Outside of her academic and research commitments, Sophie is a varsity rower at Queen’s and continues to train with the Calgary Rowing Club throughout the summer. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, cycling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Tilly.
